I have a tip I would like to pass along to you. I just discovered that following the mask fitting instruction, causes the plastic wing tips of the mask to dig into my skin when I snug up the chin and neck strap, even before snugging up these straps, the wings tips are too close to my jaw and neck. So I made a little change, instead of routing the neck strap on the outside of the chin strap as it calls for. I route it on the inside of the chin strap, this causes the plastic wings to stay away from my jaw and neck when snugging up these straps, much more stable and comfortable this way. By routing the neck strap on the inside of the chin strap, a cushion is created between the wings and my skin, also seems to promote a more stable mouth seal.
Just thought I would pass it along, it sure has help me. I have an 18 inch neck and square jaw so the wings were practically up against my skin before snugging up the neck and chin straps, so this little mod has made a big difference for me, hope this helps.
Dan

Re: For FullLife mask users
Thanks, I'll give that a try! I can seem to get a good seal on it at home, but was able to do so at the DME office. I read another post on here that said to put it on nose to chin, or vice versa. I'll have to find that other post...

Kenny, it's the other way around. Rest the underside of your chin on the chinstrap, place the mask against your chin under your lower lip, and roll it upward to cover your nose. Then pull the headgear over your head.tattooyu wrote:Thanks, I'll give that a try! I can seem to get a good seal on it at home, but was able to do so at the DME office. You can check out the sizing and fitting videos for the FullLife (which I found very helpful) here: http://fulllife.respironics.com/rightfit.aspx
