On Off Switch?

Post by katcw » Fri Sep 18, 2009 4:15 am

My Respironics M-Series doesn't have a power switch on it, so it can't be turned off during the day without unplugging it. Is that common on our therapy machines? Is it bad for the machine to unplug it every day when not in use?

Rant: Seems like more and more electronics leave a small light on when they are "off" -- each one uses very little electricity, but it all adds up. What's with that!!!

Very frustrating, I agree. I put mine on a switchable surge protector and turn off when not in use. Some leave on, some do not. Personal choice. I am personally tired of all these energy vampires.

I agree with you 100%. They ought to have a simple on/off switch. How much could it cost? And you are right, these machines sit there all day drawing a little electricity for no reason. I unplug mine at the machine every morning. Annoying.

I leave mine plugged in all the time. I don't think unplugging it all the time is good for the plug. I figured that with all the things in my house that draw power when off, one more wouldn't make much difference.
