Face breaking out from mask

Post by Not Sleeping in NJ » Sat Sep 12, 2009 7:21 am

I just recently received my Resmed Mirage Quattro Full Face CPAP Mask and wo is this a great mask. I have a slight problem after the first night.
I bought Cpap mask wipes made by Dutch Harbor Brands ( DutchHarborBrands.Com) and cleaned the mask with them. My face has broken out on the right side where the mask hits my face.
I am wondering if it could be the mask causing the problem or the wipes. What do you use to clean the mask ?

Could be either or both.
Did you (thoroughly) wash the mask before using it?
If not, that's a fairly common problem when using a new mask.

I (and many others) use Dawn dishwashing liquid to wash them. You shouldn't have to disassemble it when washing it.

you need to soak and gently wash a new mask with warm water and mild detergent, include headgear and airhose, suck the water into hose then rinse, do this several times
