pillar procedure??

Has anyone out there heard of or had the pillar procedure to reinforce the soft pallet??

It is not an oral appliance. Here is a lot to wade through: search.php?keywords=pillar .

Don't get your hopes for the procedure too high.

I have seen complaints elsewhere on the web of the implants poking out through the skin and/or coming out altogether.

I have even heard of "lost" implants. I.e. "it was there yesterday!"

But these are all anecdotal observations of a few people. I don’t know how rare or common these problems are.

My mistake, I knew what it was, associated with the oral appliances. Most of the discussions on pillar implants are in the normal Sleep Apnea forum on the other website.

I used to work in marketing. We would have called it "The New Generation Oral Appliance" and patted ourselves on the backs for being creative.
