It's been a bad couple days.

Post by sleepybug » Tue Aug 25, 2009 12:44 pm

I am so tired. Not only because of my sleep apnea, but my kids aren't sleeping through the night. I feel like I'm going crazy. I bet others think I am going crazy too. My patients; out the window.
I've called my DME to see if the machine I'm ordering can be expedited. I'd get their low end machine, but it won't work for me in the long run. It's such a catch 22.

I rescheduled my first DME appointment for 9/9 which is after an over night retreat, and our week long camping trip. I thought that I could wait that long, I just can't. I hope I can adjust to using the cpap while sleeping elsewhere. God help me please!

Hey Cory, hang in there. You might want to call your sleep doctor and tell them to expedite things for you. My doctor is always happy to help in that area.

Good luck!

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

I can relate to this. I remember having the sleep study, follow-up with the doctor, getting a prescription, waiting for an appointment at the DME then waiting again for the equipment to be delivered. A maddening process that took almost 6-months. It is frustrating, but at least you're on the home stretch. You know, if you just can't wait, check out an Auto CPAP on CPAP Auctions http://www.cpapauction.com/browse-cpap. ... 1:4:0:0::0. You can get a great unit that will hold you over and serve as a backup, and will work great. All you need is your Rx from your doctor. Ask for a copy and even if you wait to get to the DME you will be ahead of the game because you can discuss any concerns you have about the prescription ahead of time. That can save yet another delay.

Thanks DarkSide. This made me laugh. With the lack of brain power my spelling is not what it used to be.
