New headgear and nasal pillows that best match this old gear

Post by Wayne02 » Tue Aug 25, 2009 11:49 am

Howdy folks,

I've been using bipap since about 1996 or so and have been using the custom headgear from cpap man along with the pipe fitting, swivels and such that you see pictured below. I've also done the air re-direct mod to this set up. I've worn out at least two sets of this headgear and it is time for this third set to be retired. In addition several of the hose fittings have been held together with scotch tape for some time. I replace the tape periodically.

Looking on cpap man's website it doesn't look like he offers said custom headgear anymore. I want to stick to the nasal pillow concept and was wondering if there is any headgear/nasal pillow set-ups on the market today that closely mimic this robust older system?

Note: I did upgrade my machine two or three years ago after a fresh sleep study but have been stuck on this old-school headgear system as it has worked so well for me.

Thanks
Wayne

https://www.cpap.com sells this headgear:

https://www.cpap.com/productpage/adam-c ... dgear.html

They also sell another version of it here:

Also, you might try the PAP CAP at http://www.pur-sleep.com

Good luck!

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

Also, if you want to replace this mask, you need to search https://www.cpap.com for "Adams Circuit", the name of the mask. They sell it in a variety of versions, as well as just miscellaneous parts:

Good luck!

Anytime! We folks in the Wild West of Washington need to stick together. I'm south here in the "COPS" capital of the World - Lakewood.

Cheers,
Barbara
