New Here

Post by pegslg » Sun Aug 23, 2009 9:00 am

Im trying to see if i can get some info,
I have been on cpap for 7years, and recently went for a new titration due to not feeling im getting the proper amount of air needed,
I went for test found my flow needs to be raised and of course need new equipment,
What i need to know is anyone has an idea of a supplier that take avmed insurance so i can find a company that is in my price range not who ever they use and im stuck with it i see many cpap companies on the web and i can get a whole set up for what my insuance covers but like the one i've been using for replacement parts does not take insurance.

Any ideas i would be thankful

Welcome, Peg!

You might try contacting your insurance company to see if they will reimburse you if you get equipment from an online supplier like our host. It will cost them less. I have heard of a few people having luck with that.

Good luck!
Mindy

Ditto to what mindy said. Check with your insurance provider and see if they'll reimburse you for an online purchase. If they will, you'll save money and they'll save money. Win-win.

Welcome aboard.

Certainly agreeing with above. Also get busy reading and searching this forum. You'll learn how bad you've been treated.

Start at the top of home page - "New Users" > "Our Wisdom" > AND "Where a Newbie Should Start" - to name ONLY a few. Learn to search - there is sooo much more.

NOW - get comfy and get busty - eerr I mean busy and btw Welcome to "The BEST CPAP Forum on the Internet".

Another thought or two, Peg:

You might find an even cheaper alternative than involving your insurance at all, and that is purchasing the machine you want from http://www.cpapauction.com or even CraigsList. (Keep in mind, of course, that those routes require more buyer protection than if you're dealing with a legitimate online supplier.)

Also, when you DO get your new equipment, please fill out your Profile (User Control Panel, top left of the page) with the equipment you have and any additional comments (like pressure setting). It's easier to get help here if you list your equipment as TEXT (and not ICONS) from the drop-down menus.
