Looking for a cpap pillow for back sleepers.
I'm confused. Why would a back-sleeper need any kind of special pillow for use with CPAP?

What am I missing?
Veni, vidi, Velcro. I came, I saw, I stuck around.

Dx 11/07: AHI 107, central apnea, Cheyne Stokes respiration, moderate-severe O2 desats. (Simple OSA would be too easy. ;))

PR S1 ASV 950, DreamWear mask, F&P 150 humidifier, O2 @ 2L.

I'm a back sleeper. I used a contour pillow long before I was diagonsed with sleep apnea to support my neck properly while sleeping. When I got a cpap, I found that the contour pillow helps keep my chin from dropping forward as it could with a "regular" pillow. If my chin drops forward while sleeping on my back, the airway can close more and fight against the cpap pressure. I might need a much higher pressure if my chin dropped and caused more closing of the airway.

I suggest that you try to sleep with just a small pillow, mine is about 2 inches high. A pillow makes the head lean forward. Not good for us.
