So, I had my re-titration done last night. Had a different and nicer tech. She tried me with a smaller mask that was much better. It sit lower and closer to my nose so it didn't cut into my cheeks like the large one did. She wasn't allowed to give me any results, but said my pressure went higher than the 14 that previously was my max. She said I had no leaks and no snores.
I'm glad I insisted that I needed to have it done. Thanks for all of your support.

Glad you had a better second experience. I like your user name, I also am Portuguese, originally from Mass - but moved when I was a child. Being Portuguese in the Midwest is rather rare even these days. People say you are WHAT? haha. Sleep well. Suz

Re: TITRATION UPDATE
You know when I read your post, I thought about how much the tech can make a difference to how we perceive our diagnosis and treatment. When we are treated well and helped to understand the issues with Sleep Apnea, we are more likely to accept the treatment and its challenges.
Thank you for sharing your determination to get the very best treatment of your sleep apnea. We all need to be pro active in our healthcare, which seems to be a dominant theme on this forum.
So for those who had a less than great first experience with the sleep study, diagnosis, fitting of mask, explanation about the machines and such, do not give up. Ask more questions, seek more understanding about the issues and be your own advocate for proper care and treatment. With more educated patients, more patients will be educated.
Thanks again,
Karen
