Tired of the electricity going out and looking for a good system to take camping. Any comments?

it helps to have a CPAP that can accept 12 volts DC also

many CPAP users go camping, different types of batterys are used, some use expensive deep cell ones, others use car batteries or jump start units for cars with flat batterys, or plug into cars cigarette lighter, YOU MAY NEED TO LIMIT HOURS OF SLEEP

small petrol generators often annoy other campers and I dont know if the power they give is stable enough for your Cpap but you could ask

you would need to do without heat for the humidifier, I think
australian, anxiety and insomnia, a CPAP user since 1995, self diagnosed after years of fatigue, 2 cheap CPAPs and respironics comfortgell nose only mask. not one of my many doctors ever asked me if I snored

At my pressure of 10.5 I get 12 hours of operation from my Everest. For me that's 2 6 hour nights which works just fine for me. I also use the HH. Without the HH I would get more hours, but I haven't tried it to see just how many.

I use this one, the BG-C222 CPAP BATTERY, but run the HH in "no heat" mode (works all night):

Not sure why you are getting such poor results, as the battery for this machine does much better than you report.. Can you give some detail?

I, too, wondered why cpapqueen made that statement.

My experience with Aeiomed's neat little Everest is essentially the same as Brenda's:

Using my F&P humidifier for passover humidification (no heat turned on) I've gotten two consecutive seven hour nights at pressure of 11 with the Everest. I use the machine for its battery operation whenever a thunderstorm night is predicted.

This from Aeiomed's own FAQ:
7. Will the battery power my CPAP for a whole night?
a. The length of time the battery will power your CPAP varies depending on the heat setting of the humidifier. For instance, the battery will operate for 11 hours at 10 cmH20 with non-heated humidification. Heated humidification will reduce battery time by 50%.

Sorry about the slow response time, issues came up. My pressure is 14. A battery would be nice but I can get medical to cover a machine not a battery.
