High Pressure Mask choices

Post by RickE » Sun Jul 12, 2009 7:11 am

I've been on CPAP since March 2009 and just had my pressure raised from 13 to 17. I'd like to draw on the collective wisdom of users to find out the best choice of masks, etc. for those with a pressure of 17 or above. Thanks much.

Full Face masks work great at those pressures.

Ditto! I use the Ultra Mirage FFM, have no leak issues. But, as with all masks, one must get the right size and then adjust the headgear and forehead adjustment correctly to minimize leaks. Good luck!

I'm at 19 cm. I use the Quattro. Some nights I get it perfect and others I get those irritating little burps. Of course I have somewhat of a beard and shaving it off where the mask fits seems to work better.

My pressure was at 20. The mask was a problem, but so was the machine. I couldn't make this work until I switched to a Bi-pap machine. I use it with a Liberty full-face mask and only recently has it all come together so that for about 5 nights now, I've gone through the whole night--6 or 7 hours--without ripping the thing off.

Good luck to you!!
