encore viewer problem, Help.

Post by fat vito » Sun Jul 12, 2009 7:06 am

I just installed encore viewer, usb reader. All works and downloaded data. However only the usage data displays. I have the Remstar Pro. Very limited help online or in non existant manuals.

From what I remember reading before. The Remstar Pro only gives compliance data.

The Remstar Pro does give detailed data.

Are you sure it is the Remstar Pro and not the Remstar Plus? The Plus only gives compliance.

What does it say on the top of your machine?

Look carefully at the top of the first page of your report. Is there a little green arrow you can click on to go to the next page?

Yes, 3 pages of compliance/usage. Nothing else.

If it is actually the REMstar Pro w/C-Flex it only collects compliance data......hours slept.....and not detailed data like the Pro 2 or the M Series Pro machines do. The Legacy model Pro hasn't been made since early 2005.

Does it look "like" this one? (which is actually a Legacy model Pro 2)

Or, does it look like this one? (M Series Pro)

Well ish ma ga bibbble poopey. You did good. I studied up good. Unfortunately Respironics website did not say anything of "legacy products" compatibliltiy.

Great forum and site. I guess I am SOL.

Try to find a Pro 2 model like what you have - they work well - been using mine for 5 nights now.

An APAP would work well too. For the Bipap Pro tank, one also needs the "2" for real data.

We had someone post a few weeks ago with the same problem - had the "tank" / legacy Pro but not the Pro 2.

machine change - if you have viewer that is the latest thing -

check this post for what respironics machines are on it if you start shopping craigslist - a bipap can be set to run as a straight cpap I understand - as far as a fancy bipap with ST or SV I defer answering about them - some can give full data and can be set to run as CPAP's - some can't and I can't remember which ones do

Thanks for the help. Onward and upward. I will try to sell my older one and pick up a newer one.

APPRECIATION TO ALL.

I'm afraid so. I just looked and there are a couple of the Pro 2 models up for sale on http://www.cpapauction.com
They both appear to have low usage.
If you do get the opportunity to get one, I'd suggest keeping the one you're now using for a backup machine.
