Tell me what Full Face Mask you like and why
I have been using a bipap for a week now and am using the Mirage Quattro mask. Even with my mild claustrophobia, it has been easy to get used to, is soft and comfortable, and fairly easy to put on. My problem is, I have a lot of problems with leaks and burps. Someone posted a few days ago about how he would put his mask on and lay there thinking, "Now, if I can just stay like this all night long . . " That is how I am! My mask will be perfect and I will sleep. Then an hour or so later (or if I move my mouth and face around) it will leak. I just can't seem to figure out how to adjust this thing to my head and face to keep it secure and un-leaky throughout the night. So, I am hoping y'all can let me know about other full-face masks that you like and how easy they are to get situated OR give me some tips on how to get a better result out of my Quattro.

I've never used that or any other FF mask, but have read here that the Quattro should be a bit loose with the airflow off. The pressure inflates the seal of the mask, and there should be some space for it to expand into and create a seal.

I've used most of the FF masks out there, and I finally settled on the Ultra Mirage FFM, prefer it over the Quattro.

I have the Resmed Mirage Quattro mask. I've only been using CPAP for a couple of weeks, and I managed to hurt the bridge of my nose at first by tightening the mask too much to try to prevent leaks. However, I quickly found that the upper strap could be left rather loose and the forehead pad adjusted to keep the hard edge of the mask completely away from my nose. The mask uses the pressure from inside to help seal the cushion against the face, and this seems to work especially well at the top. Keeping the lower strap tighter, which I can tolerate without difficulty, helps stop leaks at the cheeks.
The indispensible step for me, however, is washing the mask and my face with soap and water right before I go to bed. Any oil or persperation on my skin or left on the mask cushion from the night before results in leaks. I tried just using wipes on the mask some nights, but all of them left a smell I hated and worked less well than soap and water. I don't like adding one more task to be accomplished every evening, but this works for me. My nose is healing nicely.
