OT Smell'n the roses.....sort of......

Post by carbonman » Sat Jul 04, 2009 6:34 pm

Doug and I did a bike path ride around Denver yesterday.
80 miles 5:15' Saddle time.
All the hard climbing is done.
We're as ready as we will ever be for TBP.

It was a sunny day. We stopped a lot, just to enjoy.
With all the rain, every living thing is exploding, like we haven't seen in years.

These "weeds" were mixed in w/a lot of thistles.

....I said....a lot of thistles.

Nice pics, as usual, carbonman.

The white flowers are Prickly Poppies, and the thistle is New Mexico Thistle. Both of them grow freely everywhere here. Pretty to look at, painful to deal with.
Veni, vidi, Velcro. I came, I saw, I stuck around.

Dx 11/07: AHI 107, central apnea, Cheyne Stokes respiration, moderate-severe O2 desats. (Simple OSA would be too easy. ;))

PR S1 ASV 950, DreamWear mask, F&P 150 humidifier, O2 @ 2L.

Cool! I knew someone would know what they are.

Thank you!

Wow, I am impressed!! Thats a good ride even when I was younger and did some riding. Wish you would send some of that rain down here. Was 102 again here and have not had rain in so long I have almost forgotten what it looks like. All I did was hide from the heat.
