first night successful

Post by anderlamb » Tue Jun 30, 2009 3:13 pm

I got my CPAP on a 30 day trial yesterday and have gone through my first night with success. I woke a few times to adjust the mask and this am i am red on the bridge of my nose. Does it usually take a few days to get the mask fitting properly? I am still extremely tired and hoping that changes soon. Why did I wake up with very rosy cheeks today?? thanks

First of all...Welcome!!!

You will want to check out the "Our Wisdom" part of the forums because it will help answer a lot of your initial questions.

The red marks from the mask will go away with adjustments to your gear. I believe most people have the straps too tight when they first start out but learn that sometimes relaxing them makes for a better fit with less leaks. The rosy cheeks are from being so happy your on cpap therapy!
