what exactly is lanolish to be used

Post by frustratedmary » Thu Jun 25, 2009 3:25 pm

Newbie here. I have been using the mirage micro for 2 nights. Not too bad. Just trying to get a better seal. Can lanolish be used for that or is it for sore places only? I seem to have a little trouble with a leak near my eyes. 2 months now and still only about an hour or 2 at a time for sleep. I'm still hanging in there.

Lansinoh (lanolin ointment for nursing mothers) is used by some to both reduce irritation and create a better seal with nasal pillows.

A small amount of Lansinoh is applied to the inside of the nares with either a finger or a cotton swab.

You can find it in the baby section of many stores.

Welcome, new friend !

Leaks near the eyes......that is why I changed to nasal pillows - make sure you use the right size mask.Don't give up to this therapy and keep asking questions - many, many experts over here to help you. I use Lansinoh cream (hoseheads call this 'nipple grease !') inside my nose and also on my lips before I tape my mouth.(dry mouth) Very expensive but good. GoodDay
