This may be a dumb question but here goes nothing...

Post by hjjsnell » Thu Jun 11, 2009 9:26 am

I received some samples of PurSleep that I am just dying to try out tonight but I have NO CLUE where to put by my machine. Do I put it behind the machine right about where the filters are. Anyone else with a Respironics Remstar Pro M Series use the PurSleep wanna share where you put it for best effect? It says to put it by the air intake but I don't know where that is, this is all still so new to me. Thanks!!

The air intake is the little rectangular filter on the back of the unit. It's gray and spongy.

I've always wanted to try one of those but read some stories about how some people couldn't get unlikable fragrances out of their machine. Too bad they don't make a humidifier additive, that way if the smell lingers, you can just toss the chamber (since I get a new one every 6 mos anyways) , and get a new one.

Let us know how you like it.

Don't put it IN the air intake... just close enough were you feel comfortable with the fragrance

I use them but I only like one of the three of the aromas they sent me. I started really week and moved it closer to the intake (already described) every night until I got a strength that was pleasant but not overwhelming. When I don't use it there's no remaining smell....

(My first post!)

Are there any other products/methods of providing a 'scent'? I have nasal allergies and find that some type of mint or menthol has helped (like sucking on a mentholyptus cough drop) clear my passages a bit. So I was thinking that perhaps some type of mint smell would help on those congested nights.

(I just started my CPAP therapy on June 1, so I'm still a real newbie).
