New ResMed VPAP S and ResScan 3,7

Post by Paul22 » Mon May 25, 2009 6:07 pm

Growing pains. Would appreciate very much some help.

The menu on the VPAP S requires a mask selection from one of four categories. Each category contains the names of different ResMed masks. I made a choice based on a WAG (wild ass guess). I assume the four categories are four different ranges of vent rates since a ResMed leak number is, I believe, what is left after the vent rate of the mask is subtracted from total flow, i.e., wrong mask selection yields error in reported leak I am using an extra large Nasal Aire II cannula—the best I can read a small InnoMed leak rate chart on that cannula is about 34 L/M for a pressure of 10.0 cm H2O and 40 L/M for a pressure of 13.4 cm H2O. Can someone please tell me what are, or where I can find, the leak ranges for the four categories of masks in the menu?

When I get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, get a drink of water, or read, which is a better course of action, as far as being able to retrieve good therapy information is concerned, (a) turn the machine off while I am up, (b) let the machine run and just take off the cannulas?

Is it posible to print selected portions of the therapy reports by some simpler means other than using Screen Thief (which requires the assistance of my wife)? If so, how?

Thank you. Paul22

Paul, I understand that Slinky, the Resmed expert, is having some computer woes right now. I don't remember ever seeing this question posted before and I certainly don't know the answer.

Anyone else care to help out Paul?
