Need help interpreting Encore Pro reports...

Post by Ender519 » Sat May 09, 2009 8:17 pm

Ok so please forgive my ignorance here, I would like a second (or third) set of eyes on some preliminary reports I'm getting out of Encore Pro. This is my third day on the M-Series Auto w/ AFlex. My prescribed pressure is 8-15, a-flex set at 3, and no ramp is used. These sessions are when I slept a lot during the day, so it's like 3 sessions in a day and a half.

Based upon the results, here are my admittedly naive conclusions:

- I snore. A lot.
- I have a lot of mask leak according to this data, using Swift LT nose pillows, may need to adjust the headpiece.
- My AHI seems pretty low, so OSA seems to be in decent check pending some tweaking.
- I spend a LOT of time at the max pressure.. does this mean my range should be higher? like 12-18 or something?

Many thanks in advance!!!

As long as you have a high leak rate you can't trust the data to be correct, your third entry looks low enough to trust. I'd narrow the range to a max of 3 cm, 10cm to 13 cm looks to be a fair range. Work on the leaks, that mask should be way lower, and don't sleep on your back. Jim

Leaks could be due to mouth leaking/breathing. You might want to try taping your mouth shut for a night or 2 to see if it helps.
