how much more can I wear on my head at night

Post by vaderboi » Thu May 07, 2009 11:46 am

I wear a quattro, and Karen from PAC made an awesome eye mask that works with my mask and helps with leaks around my nose. I also wear a chin strap because my jaw slacks open and I lose my therapy. As a side result from the chin strap, I catch myself grinding my teeth, so I've taken to wearing a mouth guard as well at night. I think the only thing I'm missing is an antenna, lol.

Hey, I've got an idea. We can invent a mobile hose hanger that attaches to your head! No need for a wall or a headboard! I'll try to think of some more things...be back in a while

I wear Tranquileye's to keep the air out of my eyes, seal my lips with Polident strips, wear a headband around my mouth to keep from blowfishing, and wear ear plugs. I also put two kinds of ointment in my eyes. Who said getting old was easy...LOL.

You need a hat like this:

The glasses would be a nice touch too.

Still laughing like crazy (with you!) and empathizing. B-u-t wait vaderboi, there's more!! (lol) A sleep cap to keep your hair from suffering from our masks' headgear doing its job of keeping our masks in place.

I was just getting to ready to share the following discovery, when I saw your post - a merge!

EVERY morning since starting cpap in '05, I'd wake up with my hair looking like I'd been plugged into an electric outlet all night long, not to mention the pulling and maybe thinning worry; finally got sick of it, have been here n' there an everywhere on the net to find something to help (some suggested a buff and that seemed interesting n' possible). Thought I'd try for a little more feminine look for my poor husband's sake - I'd buy that mask trimmed in lace too!! For you guys, the buff might just fit the bill - and they've got all kinds of colors/patterns/fabrications, etc.

I zeroed in on Headcovers.com however, (great photos of each product/nice style selection/and some for men/and colors etc.) - got their 3-seam cotton sleep cap one ea.in pink & lavender. This company is aimed at attractive headwear to help cope with hair loss, but their covers are certainly suitable for anyone. For what is worth......

We ought to have an annual "All Geared-Up" photo contest just for the fun of it!
Patty

Vaderboi - I resemble that remark!

Patty, just a disclaimer that if I enter a photo contest, any resemblance to a desperate housewife from Wisteria Lane will be purely coincidental.

Vaderboi, I think that you could get a set of those "deelyboppers"=you know, the antennae-like balls on a headband- to use for your antennae- they come in many colors,so perhaps you could get several pair for different holidays, etc. Then perhaps a pair of those big sunglasses with the windshield-wipers- in case of massive moisture.....you could take out the lenses, but hey, it's dark in your bedroom anyway, right??? Rock on!

Don't forget the latest technique of putting a tennis ball in your mouth to cut down on mouth breathing and tooth grinding.
