G'Day Guys
Its been some time since I have been here , I'm thinking of trying a new mask , the one I use most is the original Swift
I'm thinking of maybe a Opus or a Swift LT , I have never seen either mask , not to many Cpap shop where I live
I will probably order over the phone or web . I know everyone is different but does one of either mask seem to have better user feed back than the other , they both cost over $200 here in Australia , so I would like to get it right if I could
But it wouldn't be the first time I have got the wrong mask and have been stuck with it , I have a few as new masks with little or no use .
I tape my mouth every night , don't suppose there is anything new in that department , something else to keep my bloody mouth shut
Regards Jacko
Opus or Swift LT
Re: Opus or Swift LT
I have tried both and personally I like the Swift LT a LOT more. The Opus felt sharp and pokey in my nose. I only lasted an hour before I ripped it off and put my Swift back on. Ahhhhh....it felt so nice and soft.

Re: Opus or Swift LT
Why not get both and double your odss of getting it right

Re: Opus or Swift LT
I have both and use the Swift LT every night. The Opus is a very close second and I still use it when I travel or go camping. I think the Swift stays planted on my nose a little better when I'm thrashing about at night.
If you haven't already, check out cpapauction.com for your mask. I got my Swift there for about 1/2 price of other methods.

I use swiftLT for over 6 months and like it very much -- had tried two others --, but not qualified to compare with opus since no experience. SwiftLT is about as ideal an interface I think I would ever get. I highly recommend that.

Re: Opus or Swift LT
I agree with Georgio. I think the reason the Swift LT stays better planted on the nose than Opus is because of the frame wings that support the nasal pillows themselves. The Swift LT wing supports are engineered to flex and contour the cheeks without compromising the support of the pillows whereas the Opus wing supports are more rigid and can shift the pillows out of place when laying your head sideways on the sleep pillow.Georgio wrote:I have both and use the Swift LT every night. The other main difference is that the Swift Lt nasal pillows are double-walled and the Opus are not ... that design may provide a better seal to begin with.

Thanks for the replies guys
I would like both but then I'm looking at $500+ , if they both were good then thats not a problem
I already have well over $1000 worth of masks I don't use
That Auction Site has very good prices , but I cant find anyone who will ship to Australia
This Web Forum is best there is when I first started Cpap , I got a lot of great information and help from here
I have bought 2nd hand masks privately from other forum members here
thanks again Guys I will keep looking
