Last night I was on Cpap for 7 hours. Got some good sleep. However, during the day, I felt kind of wierd, like short of breath and some anxiety. I read this is normal. It seems to come and go thoughout the day. Will it fade away? Did you experience it? And why does this happen? It seems to be common, but nonbody has said why?
It feels like I have to take a deep breath from time to time, but can't quite get it.
Day #5, Anxiety, will it fade?
Re: Day #5, Anxiety, will it fade?
I do have some lung issues, but even before my interstitial lung disease was diagnosed, and early in my cpap treatment, I had some similar symptoms during the day. I'd feel like I needed to take a deep breath, but had trouble getting it. And had something I called "stuttered" breathing, for lack of a better word. Reminded me kinda of how a baby does after a long hard session of crying, when their inhale is ragged instead of smooth. Don't know why it started, or why it all but stopped. Notice it slightly every few months. Hopefully your symptoms will abate also.

Re: Day #5, Anxiety, will it fade?
Just a guess, I had those same symptoms only they were when I put my cpap on at night, squeezing my husband's hand as I experienced the same feelings. I just think my lungs and body weren't use to the good air and expansion of all the breathing organs expanding and taking in GOOD amounts of 02.
Makes sense to me so it possibly is a GOOD thing. It took a good month or two and then my body and lungs felt great, like I had been to YOGA class.
God Bless and good luck,
Ellen

Life is not about the amount of breaths you take;
It's about the moments that take your breath away.
It's about the moments that take your breath away.
