Mark on my face from mask
I have been using the F&P 431 for about 4 months now (100% compliant) and while I really like the mask, it is leaving a mark on my face. It's just a thin red line on my left cheek and it used to go away after about half an hour or in the time it takes me to get ready in the morning. But now it doesn't seem to be going away. It's not a really big deal, as I would much rather have a good night sleep and a line on my face than go back to being a sleep deprived zombie girl but I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem or has any suggestions?

Re: Mark on my face from mask
I have noticed that if I don't drink enough water the lines stay longer than when I am well hydrated. The other day I had lines for about 2.5 hours, I drank extra water that day and the next day the lines lasted less than an hour.

If it's the MASK making the mark, I dunno.
If it's the STRAP, go here and buy a fleece cover for your straps: http://www.padacheek.com
Can't hurt to try the water trick.
Good luck!

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula.

Re: Mark on my face from mask
I woke up today with the same problem -- a red line on the left side of my face.
While I usually sleep on my back, seems last nite I was sleeping on my side.
Are you a back or side sleeper?

I'm a side sleeper so maybe that's the problem. And I will try to drink more water- makes sense!araminta wrote:I woke up today with the same problem -- a red line on the left side of my face.

Re: Mark on my face from mask
I had the same problem while wearing a nasal mask ... the Comfortgel. The marks were always on the left side.
I've been using the OptiLife cradle cushions for a week now ... no marks! None. That's in spite of my taking a blood thinner, which causes my skin to mark a lot easier.
Plus (so far) the leak rate has gone down.
