For all the people that has a cpap or auto cpap and who have the software/card readers etc. Can you tell me if there was a problem getting the software when getting your machines. Reason why I ask because I had talked with a customer service rep about their RemStar products and I had asked if getting the Pro unit would the software/card reader would also be covered...and basicially was told that depending on your DME that they wouldn't sell these products (software/reader) to the patient....?

Has anyone had this problem?

Not if you purchase from cpap.com .

I got my bipap pro 2 w/heated humidifier from cpap $1569 and the Respironics software/reader for $199. The bipaps are more expensive than the cpaps though.

Beware Ramblinman, the Remstar Pro only gives you compliance data. You need to ask for the Remstar Pro 2 or Auto or go with some other machine that comes with software. Do some research on this forum before you decide and good luck in convincing your insurance company to get the machine you want.

I understand that it is rare that insurance will cover software/card readers. But it has happened.
