Sinus Surgery Happens TODAY

Post by 5aces » Thu Apr 02, 2009 8:24 am

Packing up a few things and will leave shortly for the hospital.

General anaesthesia at 2:00pm EST.Several sinus disturbances will all be addressed.

Staying overnight due to prior cardiac history and of course the infamous severe O-S-A.

Rolling the dice to land in the 80% group that actually see benefit from the procedures.

CPAP and myself still have not made friends, trusting this effort will change all that...

Bye All!

Good luck!

I'm still trying to decide if I want to pull the trigger on a septoplasty and turbinate reduction, so that I can breathe through my nose better. I'm eager to hear how it goes for you!

Just read your post, 5aces. Hope all went well, today. I'll be praying that it was a success, and that you heal quickly. I had septoplasty and a sinusectomy several years ago. It took a little while for the swelling and inflammation inside my nose to go down (even though the outside began to look "normal" fairly quickly- so I was afraid it hadn't been sucessful. But don't get discouraged if that's your case, too. I learned that it's just the healing process, and once my nose healed completely, the change has been wonderful. (it has literally been years now since I've had a sinus infection or bronchitis, and I had them all the time)! Hang in there and hope you feel better soon!
