FF mask help please

Post by whatrdreamsmadeof » Tue Mar 31, 2009 6:49 am

I am looking into getting a full face mask. Years ago I tried the comfort 2 ff and it was way too heavy and big. Has anyone tried the
Zzz ff mask? It looks lighter than most. Also I have a small face and so I need a FF that won't push on the inside corners of my eyes.
Please let me know your thoughts, I appreciate all your wisdom.

I think the ResMed UMFF is one of the best full face masks. It comes in 6 sizes, so important to get the right one. A 3D template is available by calling ResMed so you can fit it. Take the smallest size that will fit. A medium was too large for me (although I normally wear a medium) and leaked into my eyes, but the Small is perfect. IMHO ResMed makes the best full face masks! I have also used the Comfort II.

I tried the zzz ff mask and didn't like it. The exhaust ports made it sound like there was a freight train coming at me, so I switched back to my quattro. I have a pressure of 12. Just my experience.

Since you have the Swift LT, a logical mask to try would be the Mirage Liberty. It's basically those same nasal pillows mounted on top of a "mouth mask".

SnuggleHose - Got the 8 foot and cut it down to 6, used the rest for mask hoses.
Memory Foam Pillow - Cut my own out of my Tempur-pedic pillow. (works great!)
Hose Mgmt - Velcro Tie Strap

I'm going to try the Zzz as soon as it arrives from cpap.com and will post what I think. It will be in comparison to the Ultra Mirage and Quattro, both of which have pros and cons for me.

Thanks for all the info. I look forward to hearing how you like or don't like the Zzz FF mask, I don't think I would like the Liberty as I did try the Hybrid when it came out and it so bottom heavy I couldn't manage it.
Thanks again!
