CFLEX is only and option on a Respironics machine.
The S8 Autoset II is a ResMed machine, and its exhale relief option is called EPR.
If you want the ResMed machine, you most definitely should not have CFLEX mentioned in the script.

The more specific your script, the less chance you will have of using it to buy a different machine in the future. The more general, the better it is for use in the future, or online.

It really comes down to personal preferences, the two top manufacuturers are Respironics & Resmed, they both make good machines ... what you really want to make sure you get is a machine that is data capable. I personally have the Respironics REMstar Pro 2 M series with the CFLEX and I wouldn't go a night with out it ... for me the CFLEX makes all the difference, but the Resmed has the equivalent feature in their product line ...

Personally I think that picking the right machine is the easier part of the process, it's trying to find a mask that suites your needs that can prove to be quite the challenge ...

Was having dinner, so apologies for the late post.

I just swapped from a Respironics M Series Auto with A-Flex to a Resmed Autoset II, and I MUCH prefer the Resmed. Other machines I have tried are the M Series Pro with C-Flex, and the Zzz PAP.

The Resmed is my favourite by far. Much quieter, I prefer the feel of EPR to C-Flex and A-Flex. no blue "Landing Lights" on the machine. Looks nicer, too!

I've got the aAtostat II and really like the unit, however I have noticed some of the more experienced members here critical of the Resmed A10 algorithm that prevents the APAP from responding to events requiring pressure greater than 10. This may reduce its effectiveness while in APAP mode. If your titrated pressure is anything like mine (16), this could be cause for concern.

Of course it will be fine in CPAP mode but then you could get by with the less expensive Resmed Elite II.
