I have PPS and I find it very helpful to use my BiPap machine during day naps. This rests my breathing muscles and gives me a little more energy to finish my day

That's very good, Rod.
Actually, everyone should use their CPAP (APAP, BIPAP) when they take a nap, even if their breathing muscles are intact.

Re: Post Polio Syndrome
by "nap" do you mean when actually asleep in the aft.
or do you think we should use cpap when just lying down and resting with eyes closed for a while?
if the latter, why's that?

* Because you may fall asleep.
* My airway starts closing when I lie down and relax, and I get jolted out of any rest I may gain.

Re: Post Polio Syndrome
When I say nap I mean laying down and resting if I fall asleep I usually try not to sleep for more than twenty minutes, anything longer than twenty minutes makes me groggy. I learned this from an adaptive therapy class.ozij wrote:The latter too.araminta wrote:by "nap" do you mean when actually asleep in the aft.
