My story Going on 3 Weeks

This Wednesday will make 3 weeks that ive been using cpap. I started with the Resmed Ultra Mirage, and the Quattro as well as the Swift LT masks. I tried the FF masks first for about a week, till i got a very sore spot on my nose. After MUCH help and reading on this WONDERTASTIC cpaptalk.com i found Padacheek. While waiting for PAC i used the Swift LT. It didnt work to well for me Im always stuffy. The Pad A Cheek made things so much better but increased my leak rate and caused leaks into my eyes after i fall asleep.

I called the DME and was placed with a different RT, and they were so much better then my first RT. I originally asked for the Liberty mask and was basically told nope, we get too many returns so you wont like it. I asked my new RT and asked for the Liberty and they actually let me have one. Ive been using it for about 4 days now. My first night i had a leak rate of .60 L/S

But now every night i use the mask fit to pinpoint leaks and adjust the mask. Now im getting leak rates of between .04 and .12 L/S I really like this mask.

I also bought a 6 foot Snugglehose cover, the performance 6 foot hose, a coupler and the PurSleep basic pack. I sent the PurSleep back as it is most definitely not for me. After having bought the hose cover then getting the Liberty i wish i would have gotten the 8 foot cover. I stopped Rain out with the FF masks, but now i have about a foot of non protected hose and get rain.

I did loose power one night and wasnt able to use cpap, and there were two separate nights were i just got fed up with the mask either being to tight to stop the leaks, or just cant get to sleep with it on.
Ive been taking the generic for Ambien. I want to get off it but i cant sleep without it.

I have been sleeping between 7.5 and 9 hours a night. Solid sleep unlike my fragmented sleep of the past.
My average weekly numbers are Leak rate .16 L/S AHI 7.3 AI .4 and HI 6.8 and i have a Card reader and software on the way.

Im still having humidifier issues but i think im on my way to getting those fixed. I still have pretty good dry mouth. Im trying out a room humidifier in addition to my H4i
