Sinus infections
Sinus infections
I am a newbie. I've been on my c-pap for one week, my pressure is set to 20, and I now have a sinus infection. I am taking azithromycin for 5 days. How do I handle this situation? Do I continue the c-pap treatment while on the antibiotic?
Re: Sinus infections
I did. I had to use a FF mask for a few days. I found that it was easier to breathe with the cpap. You might want to check with your MD. Mine said to use the xpap. I did have to turn the HH up a notch.

FF Mask = Full Face Maskhodag wrote:Ok what do all the shortcuts mean FF, XPAP, etc. You lose me with them. thanks
XPAP = refers to all PAP machines such as CPAP, APAP, VPAP, BiPAP, etc
HH = Heated Humidifier

Re: Sinus infections
I recently had a sinus infection. I used a Neti Pot to clear out my sinuses prior to putting on my mask. It helped tremendously. Just wanted to let you know.

Here's the natural way to cure your sinus problem... http://sinusbuster.com/ I LOVE this stuff. I use the Allergy/Sinus Buster and the straight Sinus Buster. Antibiotics only cover the problem and lower your immune system. I won't take them.

Re: Sinus infections
sagesteve,
i'm curious about the sinusbuster.
when i use my netipot, i can taste the salt water. it ain't so bad.
so when you use the sinusbuster, is it like having a mouth full of hot salsa?

Re: Sinus infections
Not really...it smarts, but it's a good smart up the nose. It isn't like a pepper spray hit. Your eyes will water a bit, but it WILL drain your sinuses...you can really feel this stuff work and feel so much better. You get used to it because it does work so good. Kinda like sniffin' snuff. I also use the pot, but it's much slower responding, more of a preventative than a cure. I use the pot for my asthma prevention. The best way to use the Sinus Buster is to stick it up one side, spray and inhale at the same time ( about 3 to 4 sprays...it comes in a pump bottle), then, tilt your head back and feel it cut through the crud and come out down the back of your throat, then repeat on the other nostril...it's amazing stuff really. Read everything about it at the site.
