Thanks- Problem with reading the data card-

Post by angel1 » Sun Mar 08, 2009 12:15 pm

I just bought an encore viewer and reader, installed it on my computer with Windowa XP. I have two day data on my card, but every time I put my card into reader, it gives me the message that " no data found on the card". I know that card works fine because I went to see my DME two days ago, and she downloaded my card and gave me detail report for 17 days. Please help me !!!!!

when I tried "copy smartcard data", from the screen, it says coping the data, shows the % and when it is completed,it gives following message,
" smartcard does not contain any therapy data"

Thanks for your help. I reinstalled my software on my laptop, it worked without any problem.

With computers, there's just no telling. Of course your DME most likely erased your card, but you should have everything since then.

What I would do...

1. Go do about 15 minutes on the machine with the card in there.
2. Bring the card back and see if those 15 minutes are on the card. I used to do this when playing around with masks.
3. If you see the data, then you should be fine, but either way you might see if you can find a utility to re-format the card just to be on the safe side.
4. If you do not see the data, see if you can find a utility on-line to re-format your card. I've read about people doing so, so do a search and find the utility. I'm assuming you're using EncoreViewer and not Encore Pro...
Encore Pro 1.8.49; Encore Pro Analyzer 0.8.9 by James Skinner
SnuggleHose - Got the 8 foot and cut it down to 6, used the rest for mask hoses.
Memory Foam Pillow - Cut my own out of my Tempur-pedic pillow. (works great!)
Hose Mgmt - Velcro Tie Strap

If you are unable to view data on the card, they probably didn't put a name on it. I had the same problem. Try putting the card in the reader after the software is booted up. Highlight your present file and right click and download data should be an option.
I had the same problem. If that doesn't work let me know, I will get my card and figure out what I did to get it to read.

Good luck
Gerry
