woke up trying to breathe through my finger!

Post by ChipsXJ » Tue Feb 24, 2009 7:55 am

I woke up this morning around 0430 and I had my mask on......................but my hose was disconnected and I had my finger stuffed into the end of it.

At first I wondered what had happened to cause the machine to stop blowing............when I reached up to remove the mask.........I found the hose attached to my finger.

I did have a dream about donning the gas mask and hood............but not sure what else transpired in my sleep.

I am anxious to get home and download the data from last night and see if I can tell what time I put the hose on my finger.

Too bad that did not work though..............would have solved all of these mask issues.

And, I woke up Monday a.m. to discover the lamp shade sitting next to me on top of my bed.
The lampshade belonged to my bedside wall lamp. Needless to say, the lightbulb no longer works.

Many have reported taking their mask off in their sleep, some even putting it neatly away. But that's got to be an original! Thanks for starting my day with a chuckle.

Well - be glad it was only on your finger . I would be worried about my next dream if I were you. I never did anything strange in my sleep unless I took 1mg of klonopin and I am not sharing many of those.

After I stopped laughing I got to wondering - have you ever had episodes of sleep walking?

I have the opposite problem to taking my mask off in my sleep - sometimes I wake up and forget to take my mask off. I use a Hose Buddy, which seems to have been made by the same folks who make nuclear bunkers. I get half way vertical and am jerked up short. I fall back onto the bed, bonking my head on the Hose Buddy arm. Of course, this wakes up my husband and both dogs with various shouting, barking and swearing ensuing. I'm sure it's quite amusing if your head is not throbbing.

Ok, after browser had his say I think I figured out a problem that many people have had.
They are dreaming and aren't really swallowing all that air.

I know nothing, I've seen nothing.

Oh Jeez that is frickin' hilarious! LOL. Thank God it was only your finger! I can just see it now: "Son, let me tell you a little something about appliances..."
