Walgreen Options didn't measure up

Post by The Texan » Mon Feb 23, 2009 6:46 pm

Well, I got my Rx from the doc today and called the Walgreen Options office to see about going in for a meeting. After talking to the tech that I would be assigned to on the phone, I eliminated them from my list. Talk about an attitude and told me I would take what they gave me, based on their reading of the scrip. Will meet with several local DME providers this week who say they will ship supplies UPS as needed. I think that it may work better staying away from the national outfits.

Good think that you're taking your time and shopping around, Texan. Sometimes a mom'n'pop DME tries harder to win a new customer. Keep us posted how it goes when you check the next ones on your list.

I'm pretty sure that the tech you spoke with isn't the person in charge.

Whoever that might be, you will be doing them a favor by telling them why you are taking your business elsewhere. Without that feedback, they will never improve.

Just don't do it in anger... and let them use it as a "learning experience".
