Lastnight was my 4th time using my new S8 elite 2 each night is getting better and better, but this morning something strange is going on, I woke up with my chest sore, like as iff my lungs were sore, right under my pec area. the longer i been sitting up its going away, but when i first woke up it hurt soo much.

other thing that been going on and is more likely cuz I havent been eating the right diet ( to many sweets ) my ankles and legs are swelling (retaining fluid) this happens with me from time to time, but normaly they go back to normal after a nights sleep, but they arnt doing that the past 3 days, I have a GP DR appointment on tuesday so if nothing changes I'll talk with her. but its weird this is going on since i been on CPAP

I too have woken up with the chest pain your desscribing one time. I have the same machine set up and humidifier, but have a mirage liberty mask. . This happened to me , in about the same time frame as you when i first started cpap. I have had cpap for one month now and this never happened again. Im curriuse to also know what caused this too!

What does your software and reader show is going on at the time this happens? Nothing if you don't have the tools. If you have just started treatment many people feel the light pain of the muscles being used past their normal range, it passes after about a week. jim

Agreeing with Jim - sore muscles from breathing deeper and fuller breaths.

We should all be able to sleep AND breath at the same time, Practice!!

What you described happens to me occasionally. I've been on CPAP for three years and change. At first , it was pretty bad. Now it only happens once in awhile. The last time was so severe, I was convinced I was having a heart attack! I spent the day in the hospital.
I found out that my GERD (reflux) contributes to the condition.
It also could be trapped gas. Air gets in to odd places when you're on CPAP. Have you read any posts on aerophagia?
I hope you feel better soon.
