I am having some trouble with uploading data from the card reader into the software. The software sees the card and says there is unread data on it but there is no option for reading it anywhere. Maybe I am just missing something but I uploaded my first two days data with no trouble at all. I am wondering if there is something going on with the feature they have called "study length". I arbitrarily assigned a 14 day study length because, its for me, it is really just forever or until another machine. So I am suspicious that it is designed for patients to send cards in only every "study" period for a one time upload then get a new card for the next "study". In which case, I somehow messed with the machine and need to re-enter myself and my machine as a new user with that machine.
any other ideas?
Am I missing something really obvious here?
This is a new machine for me and I am used to my M Series and just being able to stick the card in and read whenever I wish.
anyone using devilbiss smartlink software?
Re: anyone using devilbiss smartlink software?
bumping this just in case someone might see it who knows. Otherwise I got an email out to Johnny at cpap.com that he or someone will get tomorrow. Just hoping I can see my data soon because I am getting really obnoxious aerophagia and want to determine if I ate something or my settings are messed up somehow. Being without data is terrible.

I have no problem reading the data. When I put in the updated card, it says "There is new data for <serial number of machine>, update?" I then click "Yes" and it gets read into database. Once it is read, I have to go back to the patient menu and choose "view reports" before it shows the new data.
As for the study length when I first set things up, I put in a year. In order for it to work, your patient record should show a study that hasn't ended yet, and you need the serial number of your machine assigned to your record.

Well, I have assigned the serial number and the study was not yet over (it was day 3 of a 14 day study). I had already uploaded two days worth of data successfully. At this point, it doesn't give me an option to upload anymore information no matter what. The documentation, and your experience, is that it should do so automatically when it see the card is in the system. It is not doing this. However, it does see the card because if I try and reassign the card or anything else involving the card, it says "this card has unread data. If you continue you will lose this data. Do you wish to continue?"
