DeVilbiss Smartlink report abbreviations

Can anyone provide me with definitions of the following code letters used in the DeVilbiss Smartlink daily detail reports? There is no legend in the report and a quick scan of the manual in my bleary-eyed state did not reveal any answers.

I didn't see them in the manual, but I'll have another pass through it.

How are 'puffs' defined? Would m-series 'vibratary snores' overlap with this one? Seems to be a lot more VB's on the M-series then S's on the DeVilbiss.

Still haven't found a value for 'M' in the reports. Could it be non-responsive apnea?

Also what is the definition for exhale 'puffs'.

An 'exhale puff' is just that...a puff out through the lips. Meaning that some therapy is going mildly out your mouth. Not too good.

Bumping this thread in the hope that someone has gotten a definitive answer on what the abbreviation "M" means on the nightly reports. I checked the PDF manual that comes with the software, and it's not in there.

Back in November, Johnny Goodman posted a presentation of the Devilbis reporst.

When I look at this: http://www.slideshare.net/johnnygoodman ... esentation on page 2, it looks like M should be "mask leak time". And my guess is this could refer to "mask off while machine is on" or to a leak that is too high for the machine to compensate.

Thanks for the link. I assumed L-was for Leak. In the leak rate graph above I didn't see any 'major' leaks. However looking at the chart at the bottom I see a Non-responsive Apnea NI figure of .1 , I am assuming, thorough the process of elimination that M = NI but I am just guessing, I cannot find it anywhere in the manuals.

In the old DeVilbiss AALT (auto) reports one of the items listed with apneas and hypopneas was 'Mixed' which I presumed (correctly or not) was a hypopnea that went into an apnea before the machine responded successfully. That number was usually in single digits, slightly greater than the apnea number.

I've just been reviewing my data, and M is not "Non responsive" - I have no events in the M row during ramp, but I have an NRI of 1.4 per hour.

And it's not leaks as far as I can see. I have 4 "M" events which don't correspond with the leak line.
