first report using pro software

Ran my first report tonight after getting my reader today.
Below are some images of the report. I thought there would be a little more data. Like leak rate, ahi, ect.

Am I missing something or is this what you get?

I don't have your version either but that just looks like compliance data.

Look for a button with full details ... should give line charts of pressure, OI, HI, AHI, and leaks.

You have an AFLEX machine but it is set to CPAP mode ... or you have the wrong machine listed on your profile.

If you really have an AFLEX machine set it to APAP mode with min about 9 cm and max around 12 or 13 cm.

Your leaks were not that bad except for the very end of the night ... but do keep an eye on them ... try to keep a straight line or at least a zipper-like pattern. Mountain-valley pattern for leak data is not good.

You are correct, they did not activate the 'Auto' feature..........and I left it off.......pretty much left it as they had set it up............... since I did not have the software to evaluate how I was doing.

I will look at doing that tonight.

the major lines (0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) are at 1 hr intervals.

So, if the heading says from 10:50 pm 2/9/09 to 5:30 am 2/10/09...........the first major line (1) would be 11:50 pm, right?

And I am presuming that the little colored lines on the OA, H, VS lines are when they happen?

That is correct. What is the vent rate of your mask? I would make sure the leak rate is under control before I started jacking with APAP and various pressures...

Are you really snoring that much or is that mask farts?

I don't smell anything

It may be mask farts..........I notice them alot when I am going to sleep, and try to adjust for them. I have tried loose mask, tight mask, start with loose mask then tighten a little at a time, start with tight mask and loosen a little at a time, mask high, mask low, mask straps high, low, close together, far apart..........have not found success yet. Leak rate is about 35ish for 9.

Just generally, do alot of farts indicate a mask that is too large or too small?


EDIT: I just found a link for some 'fitting tips' @ http://www.sleep-net.com/mojo.htm will give this a try first and see if I can get the leaks stopped then go from there.

I have no idea, as I'm blessed with being able to use nasal pillows and I just love those little things! I was having a small amount of mouth breathing (not even every night) and I use a chin strap and now I have none at all...

I've got a hybrid that I'm going to start using just so I can decide whether to keep it as a backup or not, so I'll have a little better idea then...

The best way to prevent "mask farts" is to gently stick your finger up under the mask seal at the point they occur.










That way no one can "pull your finger"!

You may be able to get your AHI and Snore Index down further with just a bit more pressure. Maybe 1 cm. for a week at a time to see how much it helps. For the time being, I think you should stay in CPAP mode. Leaks and snoring can drive an Auto nuts (and YOU in the process). And, you'll probably sleep better on straight pressure.
