What Oximeter? DH Medical sucks.

Post by kest874 » Thu Feb 19, 2009 8:11 am

Hi ya,

I've been looking to get an Oximeter for awhile now. I attempted to order an SPO 7500 from DH Medical, bust something happened to my order... Card was never charged, and after numerous calls and emails to customer support to find out what happened I get no response.

So I'll most likely be paying more for one. What model does everyone suggest? I want to record during the night, but not necessarily every night.

Thanks!

there are a few here who have the model you mention and all the reports see good, I bought the CMS 50e, i bought it online from EchoStore.com for $165 US, i was a little worried after i had ordered it as i found post with mixed opinions/experiences with it. when it arrived i got one of my friends to test it against a model that she uses at work in a clinical setting and it seemed to be consistent although it may be less than ideal for a restless sleeper- movement seems to disrupt contact fairly easily. Its not a problem for me as i do not move much in my sleep. I am always a bit wairy with dealing with some of these small internet companies but this transaction went through quickly and arrived in the post 2 days after i ordered it (and i am in Australia)

good luck with what you decide

Purchase your SPO-7500 from Turner Medical.

They are reliable, nice people.

That's where I got mine......and a friend purchased one last week.

Highly recommended.

I placed an order for it with Turner Medical, and it should be here next week.

I caution anyone dealing with DH Medical. I think it's a fly by night operation.

Kest.....

Purchase your batteries from Cyberguys.com

Good people...reliable.....

Battery tip: The nature of these batteries is that when they reach the end of their useful life, the battery meter on the SPO-7500 will show "OK"....but when the battery is put under load, voltage drops off sharply.....and nothing works correctly.

As soon as you experience any kind of "failure", simply change the battery.

It's a great little tool...........you'll find it very useful!

I'm very pleased with my SPO PulseOx 7500. It has a rubber finger holster that stays on your finger very well at night, but is a bit snug for me. Wearing it on the same finger for 8-9 hours can be a little uncomfortable, so when I wake up in the middle of the night, I just slide it over to another finger.

I had enough second thoughts when I ordered my SPO 7500 from dhmedical.com that I wouldn't post the good price until mine was delivered. I did feel that I was taking a chance on them, but the price was good enough to entice me. I sure like having my own oximeter. My wife is getting ready to have a bunch of testing done because her O2 levels are causing us some concern. Her low levels are happening even during waking hours. It will have been worth every dollar a million times once we get her problems taken care of.
