Need Advise Picking A new CPAP Machine

Post by rilogic » Tue Feb 17, 2009 8:25 am

Well, I have had my current machine since 2004, and My insurance is about to expire so I think it is time for a new machine. Anyone have any advise on what the latest and greatest is in the CPAP world?

Requirements:

Respironics
CPAP
C-Flex
works with encore Pro 1.8.49
No Humidifier Required
Pressure up to 20

To the best of my knowledge, since you insist on remaining w/a Respironics device, the latest and greatest Respironics CPAP is the Respiroonics M Series Auto w/A-Flex.

If you current pressure is 15 cms or greater you "might" be able to convince your doctor (and insurance) to purchase the Respironics M Series Bi-PAP Auto w/Bi-Flex. Maybe.

Most likely you will need to undergo another in-lab sleep study to justify the purchase of a new xPAP.
