Puppy chewed head gear

and local vendor wants $80 for the replacement. I'm out of a job and have no insurance, so I get the pleasure of footing the bill myself. I have a Respironics nose-plug set up, any good places to look for lower cost replacements?

make your own - I have used elastic bands from underwear or buy some at walmart - you can use panty hose legs or whatever too -

I realize these aren't your mask but just for ideas -

Not sure which one you would need, but it looks like cpap.com's headgear prices are WAY less than $80:

Puppies do like to chew! Hopefully all it chewed was the straps and did not damage tubing or the mask itself. As long as they are intact, getting creative (as Jules said) can hold you over or maybe even be a long term answer. I use homemade straps on my masks, but some are probably not as easy as others. Just one word of caution... if you end up wrapping something around the mask itself, make sure it can't slip and cover your vent.

Some of them never outgrow it! I have a 5 year old dog that shreds things in the night. I walked into the kitchen one morning recently and found a giant chunk chewed out of the rug in there. She also eats rocks, sticks, old leaves, and dirt.

I got my replacement for my whatever they are (see below). If that's what you have, I've still got my old one that's just sitting in a drawer.

A PAP CAP would be less than that:

and

Or you can do what I did, and attach your mask directly to your chinstrap, by sewing some Velcro One Wrap loops to the chinstrap:

Good luck!

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)
