My first reading

Today I took my card to the DME and had a print out of my first month on a cpap. The lady there stated it looked very good. On the page "Sleep Therapy Long Term Trend" Average Obstutructive Apnea Index 1.4, Average Hypopnea Index 1.0, Average AHI 2.4, Average Vibatory Snore Index 7.6 (does this mean i still snore) Average Max Leak 79.5, Average 90% Leak 54.1, Average Leak 43.5, Average Large Leak 3 mins. 11 secs. One the Daily Details Large Leak 0.0 mins 0% of night, Average Leak 40.00 (was the most). Is this good? Can someone tell me what all this means.

Congratulations on your first month....that's great! An average AHI 2.4 is very good starting out. However your leak numbers look a little high, and leaks can skew your AHI numbers. Find the intended mast exhaust rate for the pressure you are at, in your mask instructions. Subtract that number from your avg. leak rate to find your actual leak rate. I think I had a vibratory snore as high as 14 when I first started, however now it's much lower. I believe machines can record VS for relatively small sounds.....I don't snore on apap and was really loud before.
