Resmed Video of Sleep Apnea

Post by Slinky » Sun Feb 01, 2009 2:26 pm

Hokay, I lost my bookmark to and can't find the URL for the excellent Resmed article w/the moving graphs during an apnea, hypopnea event and therapy actions. Does anyone remember my posting the article and what the URL for it is??

This is (I believe) the same video...I didn't watch them all all the way through. IMHO:

THIS is the video to watch for understanding of the whole sleep apnea phenomenon.

It is one of the best things ResMed has ever produced, and that is saying a lot. I have had excellent service from my ResMed machines, but this explanation (while a bit mis-titled as Understanding Sleep Disordered Breathing; it basically explains apnea.)

So, if you or a loved one would like to understand a little bit more, the clear diagrams that move along with wave representations of the breathing. Enjoy, and learn, if you will.

Thanks for bringing it up, Slinky!

Ahhh, MaskedBandit and RipVW, THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Jules, any one of the three URLs will get you the same video. I had posted it in the forum a long time ago and it must have gotten lost in the transition from Yellow Lightbulb and Red Ball w/the Question Mark to the OurWisdom lightbulb. PLEASE do post the URL again 'cause its a goodie and certainly a keeper!!

if you hit quote, you get the whole url - copy and paste it somewhere

lots of problems with lost things in transition

I got what I have from gumby who got it from RG I think - and then I have added - but like FAQ has nothing to do with sleep apnea anymore and isn't the old FAQ -- our collective wisdom was renamed our wisdom etc.

Jules complained cuz I list the video 2-3 times in my posts.
Guess Slinky NEVER reads my posts = Gumby has sad face.

I just said people with OSA need things listed 2-3 times so they will get it, well maybe?

Ah, Gumby, I do remember its being posted once or twice after I had stumbled across it, altho I 'fess I didn't remember who or when. Moi bad. Thank you to you too. It really is a great explanation and well worth while being made permanently available some how.

nah gumby

we just got to demote slinky and make her a newbie so she has to read that post of mine up there

of course, in demoting her, she still has to answer ALL the resmed questions

No, you cannot punish her. She is working against severe adverse conditions, given the temperatures at about 19 tonight, and recently even below 0.
