Question for ComfortCurve Users Only...Tubing Quality

Post by Maskedmechanic » Mon Jul 25, 2005 2:24 pm

Since you clicked on this link you are no doubt aware that the tubing in the ComfortCurve is much lighter and much more pliable than standard hose. It "torques" the mask less. It is also much more easily damaged due to pull aparts.

Is the ComfortCurve hose better. the same, or worse than standard cpap hose? Another way of putting my question is...would you rather have a regular six foot cpap hose that was made of the tubing used in a ComfortCurve or do you prefer the industry standard six foot hose?

Yes, we can get what we want....if only we know what that is.

Hoses

I have 3 different masks attached to 3 different hoses. Personally, the lighter, the more unobtrusive it is, the better. I sleep right on top of the CC hose and do not even feel it. Face it, they are all made in Taiwan for 15 cents, so I do not really think it matters. All of my assortment of 6 foot hoses are NOT the same...depends where they are purchased. So, basically, I look on the internet for the cheapest and go for it..then use it until it dies a slow ugly death coiled into a melting mass on the floor........

The hose is one of the bright spots of the cc mask. Much lighter and less prone to hanging up than the auras. But the aura is a better mask

I have been using my Comfort Curve for a couple of weeks straight now. (I switch whenever I start having any problem.)

BUT..............I am a sleep roller, sometimes thinking that I must spin like a lathe. So I hooked my 10 ft hose to it, gives me plenty of room to roll around and around and around.

Last night I had a problem keeping seal on my (big) nose, so tonight I will go back to my other favorite Nasal Aire II.
