Hi folks:
I was using a CPAP Pro mask for about seven months or so, and actually had pretty good luck with it and many restful night of sleep. Problem was gum irritation, and even had the dentist adjust my bite about four separate times, due to what I think was the dental piece moving my teeth around. It may be coincidental, but I don't think so.
Anyway, I heard lots of good things about the Mirage swift mask, so I purchased one, along with the Pad a cheek micro fleece. Day and night difference as far as noise. Apnea episodes were about the same as the CPAP pro mask, but leak rates are considerably higher due to the mask dislodging itself when I lay on my side. This is my number one complaint, and it has cost me precious sleep over the past month and a half or so I've been using it. I know some people buy new pillows, but this is not something I want to try. I would just as soon have a mask that will allow me to lay on my side. So..., my question is what do you folks suggest as an alternative to the Swift? I do like the nasal pillow design, and certainly appreciate a quiet mask.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

alternative to Mirage Swift
Re: alternative to Mirage Swift
Which Swift do you have, Troy? I've found the LT far superior to either previous models, but proper positioning, the right amount of tightening, and the right size pillows for your particular face are crucial.

Re: alternative to Mirage Swift
A second vote for the LT being leaps and bounds ahead of the previous Swift versions.
I also used the Comfort Lite II for over a year before finding the LT.
Good Luck,

Re: alternative to Mirage Swift
I have tried other masks and nothing compares to Swift LT in terms of comfort. I both love and hate it. I have nights when everything is perfect and then the very next night the mask keeps leaking (and making a loud noise) when I am on my side. I cannot figure out why. The strap over the head seems to slip and need constant tightening. I would love to hear how others find consistency with this mask.
Re: alternative to Mirage Swift
I went from a Swift to a Headrest and haven't looked back. I sleep on either side without any leaks, and the exhaust blows backwards, so it never hits me in the face. I love this mask!
