Wake up light-headed
Wake up light-headed
Lately, when I first wake in the morning, I am so light-headed that I need to sit up in bed for a few minutes before standing up. I am getting 7 - 8 hours of therapy a night, have been less tired in daytime, and feeling more perky. I wonder if the light-headed feeling might mean I am not at proper pressure. Any one else have this problem?

Sounds like you may be re-breathing CO2 ... are you by chance sleeping on your stomach and blocking the CO2 vents?
President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

What does the software and reader say about your treatment, you have a good machine. Did you make the effort to find out how your treatment was doing? jim

Jim, I did try but was not successful. Half-way through the download, my connection failed and I just gave up. I will try again.

It could be like Dreamstalker suggested or mouthbreathing or machine setup incorrectly. (ramp pressure too low, pressure range to wide) Using the software would give you the data to better see what was up. jim

One possibility could be that your blood pressure was not above average to begin with (though it usually is in OSA) and the effect of Cpap now is actually lowering it, which can produce your symptoms, so do check with your MD (as early in the day as possible) or get yourself a home testing kit and check it the second you wake up.

2 Questions;
1) Did you have this condition when you first became compliant in the therapy?
2) Are you able to breathe normally, comfortably at your current auto settings?

Re: Wake up light-headed
Thanks to all who have replied to my question. I take it that others do not have this situation and that is helpful to know. I did not feel light headed when I first became compliant. Perhaps because I was initially using the therapy for 5-6 hours a night. Now I am comfortable with mask and am getting 7-8 hours of therapy each night. I do not have any problems with blood pressure -- I am consistently 116/70. I will follow up with the sleep doctor.
