How To Delete Encore Pro Data

Post by Peaktagger » Sun Jan 11, 2009 6:00 pm

I am currently using Encore Pro 1.8.49 with Encore Pro Analyzer. I would like to delete a bad night of data from the Encore Pro database. I see no way to do that in either piece of software. Anybody else run into this problem?

Peace ...

You can erase with Encore Pro but what I suggest is you go to -
http://www.mycpap.org
dl the utility then use it to store a copy of whatever is on your card before you destroy, I mean erase it. This way should you change your mind, you could restore your card.
Good Luck,

Thanks Gumby, but I am looking to removing a record from the Encore Pro DB rather than the card ...

Ok I read that rwong but I'm gonna leave in case someone else needs that neat utility.

May I ask why you want to delete that nite?
If you use Encore Pro to erase the card like I suggested, the next dl will begin from there and NOT include any previous data from the database. Not sure if that is useful to you or not.

So I ask again why do you want to delete?

The one night I used my ZZZ FFM (has since been excommunicated from my stable) produced totally absurd data which I don't view as legitimate and is skewing my recent data ... I'd like to clean up my database.

OIC, Erasing the card should do that for you then however I think the data will still be incl in EPA reports. Not sure how to remove just one record, Unless you want to uninstall again?

there is an ability I assume to edit the database in some kind of sql based program

I believe the database in my version of encore pro is EncorePro.mdf

Why not copy that and see what it takes to open it and edit it.

Yeah, don't want to uninstall either. May play around with export and import as there does not seems to be any sensible way to manipulate data .... You can exclude data in the Encore Pro program, but seems that Encore Pro Analyzer ignores that and grabs the excluded data anyways

Could try deleting the patient too.

I don't have EPA - I do have myencore which is the predecessor.

I don't know what you graphs, charts you want, however in myencore there is the ability to export the daily data into something that can be imported into a spreadsheet. Once in a spread sheet you can delete to your hearts content and graph from there.

Right click on the day in Encore pro and select delete.
That worked for me.

Thanks for the input, but don't want to reinvent the wheel, Encore Pro Analyzer is doing all that already ...

Yes, that will delete the entire 'interaction' rather than 1 day. I'd loose 4 perfectly good days of data that way but thanks for the suggestion ...
