I have a full face mask, did you get the right size to fit you? just keep adjusting it don't make it real tight or you will get leaks.

I miss my Liberty, but cannot use that mask anymore. My solution for the slight leaks from the nasal pillows was to take the leg from a REAL pair of pantyhose (not tights, as they will be too thick) and tie it just under the pillows and then flat knot it behind my head.

It worked like a charm and kept the slotted nares from leaking at the very tip. It held the nasal pillows just snugly enough UP and just tightly enough BACK to keep them from shifting. They would do so throughout the night, before I resorted to the infamous pantyhose (or tights) leg strap, a la Rested Gal.

Best of rest to you,

Karen,
Who really LOVED that Liberty

I have a Liberty that was just supplied by my new DME, and the nasal pillows seal just fine. My problem is leaks around the mouth. I've tried tighter and looser, and still I squeak.

It's so bad, I've gone to the ComfortGel full-face. At least I can sleep with that one.

Any suggestions on getting a good seal around the mouth?

I've used the Liberty FFM for three months now. I found that using the largest nasal pillow size you can possibly make fit leaks the least. I use a peice of tape across the top of the pillows to keep them from popping out.

I tried both the large and small mouth cushions. I could not make the large stop leaking around the mouth, but the small does not leak at all.

Thanks, Dragon. I'll go dig in the bag of goodies that came with it, and look for that small mouth cushion.

Oops. It only comes with a large OR a small mouth cusion. Unlike the Hybrid, you only get one or the other. It DOES come with all three sizes of nasal pillows.

I had bought a large Liberty on CPAP Auction to see if I liked it. It was OK, but leaky. When I saw a small there I got that one just to see if it was any better, and eventually got it to no leaks at all (after about three days of tweeking the straps.)

Sorry if I made you think you had both cusions.

Ooops. Wonder if my new DME would send me a small...

Thanks, Dragon. I was wondering why I couldn't find any other cushions in the bag!

Jules is absolutely right about the place where there is either an "L" or an "S"...if you can READ it. The placement and font and concavity/convexity are all working against us there...

Just to clarify:

One must order either a
Small Liberty Mirage Full-faced Mask (and Small Cushion) with Headgear and 3 sizes of nasal pillows;

OR

One must order a Large Liberty Mirage Full-faced Mask (and Large Cushion) with Headgear and 3 sizes of nasal pillows.

Unless things have changed recently, the
Large and the Small CUSHIONS are NOT interchangeable.

The nasal pillows for both the
Large and Small masks/cushions come in Small, Medium, and Large.

Anyone still confused???? Image

Karen,
Who (even though confused) still misses her Liberty Image

Anyone have any tips on choosing the correct size Liberty Mask?
I've considered ordering one for times when I need to be able to mouth breath (colds), but have yet to find any type of fitting guide.

This should link you to a download template for the Mirage Liberty full face mask. If you are wanting one to try you might want to check on CPAPAuction.com
