Rooster my friend, this is another fine post (sure to get the blood stirring on New Year's Day, too).
I especially like slide # 21, which shows the variability among computer modeling climate forecasts.
As a scientist who's worked years in air pollution, I'm unapologetically among the 30% who do not endorse the notion of man-caused CO2 leading to a global warming catastrophe. That said, I'm not spoiling for an argument; and if you disagree, then I respect your opinion.
I will only add that the nexus of science and politics is a truly unsavory one.
Kind regards all for a happy and healthy New Year!

Re: OT: Global Warming
Recently, a legitimate report was published stating the Pacific Ocean temperature is dropping. I didn't see it reported on the big networks and Sunday talk shows. Agreed the change was not much, but had the temperature been rising it would have been on countless news broadcasts, etc. Our news is most definitely filtered to fit certain preconceived beliefs.
Also, they seem to measure emissions by percent of a country's population, then the US total. From what I've read, the ongoing coal fires in China cause a huge amount of emissions but are seldom reported. The US has some fires also and are at the finishing stages of completing a technique to extinguish them. The article stated that if all the coal mine fires were extinguished in the US and China, the total man made emissions would drop to acceptable levels.
"Some scientists say that the fires could release as much as 360 million tonnes of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere — as much as all the cars and light lorries in the United States. "

Re: OT: Global Warming
No global warming, 50 years ago they were telling us we would soon be back into an ice age. This is just natural weather change. There is a global warming coming that will literally destroy the earth and its inhabitants.
(2Pe 3:7-10 AV )But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
