I turned my machine in about 2 months ago, and if you remember they tried to charge me for a humidifier which was integrated into my machine, for a total bill of around $1100.00 (for one month use). I finally got it down to $239.00.
Well, today I got a past due bill from them, and guess what -- they charged me for the machine and humidifier use for the last two months.
Like I said before -- if I was some little old lady, not quite capable of understanding all of this, they would have probably gotten a payment from me.
Instead, they got a very irate phone call.
I am glad I purchased my own equipment, because I cannot deal with those inept people any longer!!!
Take care

The DME did it again!!!
The DME did it again!!!
The world is full of doubt, indeed, but fuller still of hope.
Re: The DME did it again!!!
Skittles...I have the same integrated machine. When my DME (Apria) billed Medicare for a humidifier, I called Medicare to object to the billing. Medicare told me that they automatically approve a separate humidifier billing with every CPAP...EVEN IF IT IS INTIGRATED. This is why Medicare is in such a mess. Larry
