Drooling

Post by drgmeh » Mon Dec 29, 2008 12:31 pm

I have a full face mask now but I find I am drooling. This wakes me up as my face gets wet from it and with the maching blowing, makes it feel cold and I wake up, any suggestions?

Any chance the wetness could be from rainout traveling through the hose and not be due to drooling? If you use the heated humidifier and don't have a heated hose or use a hose cover, it could easily be that. Have you taken a good look at the hose to see if there's moisture there? If there's any chance it could be rainout and you're not sure, you could try taping your mouth shut or using Polident strips to guarantee your mouth stayed shut. If there's still moisture, I think it would have to be rainout. And if it is from drooling, taping or using the Polident strips (HA!! You thought I was going to say "stripping.") would be the solution I'd suggest anyway. If it's from rainout, getting a heated hose or hose cover should take care of it.
